Who We Are
A Bristol-based team dedicated to making financial education accessible, practical, and judgment-free for everyone.
A Bristol-based team dedicated to making financial education accessible, practical, and judgment-free for everyone.
We started in 2014 with a simple observation: most people never learn about money in school, and by the time they need to know, they're too embarrassed to ask.
Our founder, Emma Richardson, spent fifteen years as a financial advisor watching intelligent, capable people make preventable mistakes simply because no one had explained the basics in language they could understand.
She started running free workshops at community centres across Bristol. Word spread. Parents brought their teenagers. Teenagers brought their friends. Soon, those free sessions turned into structured programmes that now serve over 300 families each year.
Financial literacy isn't a privilege. It's a fundamental life skill that should be available to everyone, regardless of background, education, or current financial situation.
We believe that children as young as seven can grasp money concepts when they're taught through stories and games. We believe teenagers deserve honest conversations about debt and credit before they face those choices alone. We believe adults at any age can learn new strategies and transform their financial futures.
Most importantly, we believe that asking for help with money shouldn't feel shameful. It should feel smart.
Every session we run follows three principles:
Our facilitators are trained educators first, finance professionals second. They know how to create safe spaces where questions are encouraged and mistakes are learning opportunities.
Since 2014, we've worked with:
But the numbers don't tell the real story. The real story is in the parent who finally understands their pension statement. The teenager who decides to save their first month's wages. The retired couple who now feel confident their money will last.
See how we can help youOur facilitators bring diverse backgrounds in education, finance, psychology, and community work. What unites us is a commitment to making financial knowledge accessible without condescension.
We regularly update our training to reflect current financial realities facing Bristol families, from changing housing markets to evolving student loan structures to cryptocurrency questions from curious teenagers.
We're not a national franchise delivering generic content. Every programme we run is tailored to Bristol's specific economic landscape.
When we discuss housing affordability, we use Bristol property data. When we talk about career planning, we reference local employers and industries. When we explore cost of living, we acknowledge the realities of living in this city.
We partner with Bristol schools, youth organisations, and community groups to ensure financial education reaches families who might not otherwise access it.
